However, determining where to buy ORCA coolers can be kind of confusing. So, here it is:

Three Places to Buy Orca Coolers

ORCA coolers are sold on the company’s website, orcacoolers.com, and through a verified dealer on Amazon. You can also find their products in multiple retail stores.

Where to Buy ORCA Coolers

It might be hard to tell if a store is an authorized dealer or a third-party dealer. If you are unsure, use the help button on orcacoolers.com before purchase.

Retail Stores

Loads of authorized dealers sell ORCA products.

Orca coolers and tumblers are sold through tons of authorized dealers. Some of these stores are extremely large, while others are small mom-and-pop shops.

Here’s a quick list of SOME of these dealers:

  • Bed Bath and Beyond
  • Cabela’s
  • Camping World
  • Electronic Express
  • Target
  • True Value
  • Tractor Supply
  • Menards
  • Lowe’s
  • Walmart

When shopping for ORCA products at a retail store, you must follow the policies of that particular store.

So, if you purchase a cooler from Lowe’s and then want to return the item, you must follow Lowe’s policies. The same goes for shipping time, free shipping, and customer service.

The only thing that transfers over to orcacoolers.com is a warranty claim.

To make a claim, you need proof of purchase from an authorized dealer. If you purchase from a third-party dealer, you will not be eligible for the warranty.

Purchasing from a retail store is always nice because you can see, touch, and compare the product in-store.

I also like seeing the different coolers and comparing them to determine which size I want.

Amazon vs. Orcacoolers.com

Authentic ORCA products can be found on Amazon only through the reseller "OrcaCoolers."

All other sellers on Amazon are unauthorized. ORCA Coolers strongly advises against purchasing from these sellers.

Warranty

ORCA provides a lifetime warranty for items purchased from their site or an authorized dealer. The ORCA website warns buyers to purchase only from authorized dealers.

ORCA will not cover coolers purchased on eBay, Craigslist, resale sites, or third-party Amazon dealers.

When you purchase the cooler, you'll need to register it for the warranty using ORCA's super easy warranty registration link on their website.

If something is wrong with your cooler, you’ll need to put in a warranty request form, also found on their website.

Note that graphics on a cooler have only a 1-year warranty, but the cooler itself is covered for its lifetime.

Amazon also offers an additional 2-year or 3-year protection plan at an upcharge.

Return Policy

Returning to orcacoolers.com is pretty straightforward. Once you fill out a form, they will send you a free return shipping label.

Ensure that the return is within the 30-day window and that the cooler still has its original packaging and tags. You can return through orcacoolers.com only if you purchased from the website.

You cannot return any customized products to orcacoolers.com.

Returning to Amazon is also straightforward and can be done entirely and conveniently through the app.

Prices and Sales

Comparing 1:1 on Amazon to orcacoolers.com, Amazon tends to have a better price.

That being said, there might be sales on orcacooler.com that do not happen on Amazon, and vice-versa.

Orcacooler.com and Amazon are not linked in sales. Check both sites for sale prices before purchasing.

Discount prices can be found throughout the year, as with any other retailer.

ORCA offers military, first responder, and nurse discounts using ID.me through their website.

ORCA Coolers does not offer price matching.

Shipping

Orcacoolers.com offers free shipping on orders over $100. Their shipping times are typically 3-5 business days for in-stock products. Customized products and back-ordered products will take longer to ship.

*During peak season (summer and holidays), ORCA's shipping time may increase to as many as 10 business days.

Amazon offers free shipping on all orders with an Amazon Prime subscription and next-day shipping.

Custom Orders

You can place custom orders only through the customization form on Orcacoolers.com. Here, you can have pictures printed on coolers.

Customization is a service offered on their website and is unavailable through Amazon or authorized dealers.

Along with this, orcacoolers.com offers different prints with military, patriotic, hero, and college team motifs.

Customer Service

It’s always nice to talk to an actual human who is knowledgeable about the products.

That's why purchasing from an authorized dealer at a retail store might be worth the trip, especially if you are unsure what size or style of cooler to get.

When doing research, I had some questions, so I contacted customer service through the orcacoolers.com questions feature.

First, it asks you for your name, email, and question. Then, it indicates that you will receive a message back shortly. You'll get a confirmation email immediately.

Orcacoolers.com service hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

It took quite a few hours for an answer, but the representative was very friendly and knowledgeable once they responded.

Having said all that, purchasing through Amazon is exceptionally convenient. Amazon prides itself on easy buying, shipping, and returns.

FAQs

Are ORCA and YETI the same?

No, ORCA and YETI are different brands that offer different coolers. The most significant difference is that ORCA coolers provide three inches of insulation all around (lid included). YETI provides only two inches of insulation.

Where are ORCA coolers manufactured?

ORCA coolers are proudly made in the U.S.A. in Nashville, TN, and then customized in Ohio.

Unfortunately, no U.S. factories make double-walled, vacuum-sealed stainless steel drinkware, so those products are made in China.

However, all of the assembly, powder-coating, printing, and etching happens in Nashville.

What does ORCA Coolers stand for?

ORCA stands for Outdoor Recreation Company of America. The company is celebrating its 10th anniversary as of 2022.

They were founded in 2012 and try to do as much of their production in the U.S. as possible.
